Felt & Loden Care
Felt is a natural source of warmth and comfort, making it ideal for home, garden and contract seating.
The loden we use is made from 100% virgin sheep's wool with no added synthetic fibres. All qualities are extremely water repellent, breathable, temperature regulating, very wind and dirt resistant.
These two materials are therefore ideal for our articles and for our very demanding clientele, especially in terms of quality.
We are always happy to answer any questions you may have, preferably by e-mail.
Felt care instructions
The quality features apply here too: Stain resistant, durable, excellent insulation, extremely water repellent, low noise, easy care.
Please note:
Wool felt is a non-woven material made from natural fibres (sheep's wool). Fluctuations in temperature and humidity can cause the material to expand or shrink, affecting the size and shape of bespoke items.
Dimensional variations of up to +/- 3 % may occur.
Simply wipe off dirt with a damp cloth, dry and then treat with a soft brush.
Loden care instructions
Cloth and Superior Loden
is made from fine merino wool from sheep all over the world. Properties: excellent insulation, extremely water and dirt repellent, low noise.
Premium Loden
is slightly coarser wool from sheep in the Alpine region. Characteristics: Excellent insulation, extremely water and dirt repellent, quiet, slightly more "rustic" than merino wool.
Please note:
Cleaning is possible but often not necessary. A few hours in the fresh air, then a light brushing and you will usually have a "cleaned" piece. If absolutely necessary, you can hand wash in lukewarm water, squeeze out and air dry.
Wool is self-cleaning by nature, especially when exposed to oxygen or fresh air. Rain is also ideal for natural cleaning.
